MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA.

2 NIGHTS/3 DAYS
 

Day 1: Rabat – Marrakech – 320 Km

After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to wandering through fabled Marrakech, an ancient city of immense charm and beauty, with the High Atlas providing a beautiful backdrop. On foot and by horse-drawn carriage, we discover its secrets, with excursion through the medina and various souks, and to the astonishing Djemaa el Fna, the central square replete with snake charmers, fire-eaters, and fortunetellers. We visit the magnificent Saadian Tombs, the luxurious and architecturally unusual Bahia Palace, and the Dar Si Said, a beautiful 19th century house that now serves as an arts and crafts museum.

Tonight, we enjoy a dinner served under caidal tents in a Moroccan restaurant with a Fantasia show.

We overnight at Kempinski Hotel Mansour Eddahbi 5*. It is situated in the new city. The hotel provides the best possible facilities and services to ensure that no matter what constitutes relaxation for the guests, all is done in style. OR, overnight in Imperial Holiday Hotel. It is a 4* hotel situated in the heart of the ‘Pink Pearle’, it is about 2 minutes from the boulevards Mohamed V, and 10 minutes from Jemaa El Fna. All the rooms are air-conditioned and well equipped with comfortable beds, TV with international and national channels, phone and Internet, bathrooms, magnificent swimming pool, and good restaurant.

Day 2: Marrakech – Essaouira – 175 Km

After breakfast at the hotel in Marrakech, we travel to Essaouira passing stands of the indigenous Argan trees on which we may see the area’s infamous tree-climbing goats. Essaouira is a charming 16th century coastal town enclosed by 18th century battlements.  We spend a day walking with blue shutters, artisan workshops, and boat builders give it a colorful atmosphere. The Portuguese built a fort in the 16th century, and in the late 18th century, Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah built up the town as a military port. It later proposed during the era of European sea trade. Today it is still an important fishing port and market down.

Late afternoon, we return to Kempinski Hotel Mansour Eddahbi or to Imperial Holiday Hotel for overnight.

PS: Overnight in Essaouira is possible

Day 3: after breakfast, we return back to Rabat.
